One of the core functions of a community foundation is to serve as a trusted home for charitable funds on behalf of donors and community organizations. We handle the administration, receipting, investment, and stewardship so that fundholders can focus on what matters most.
Whether a fund is established by a family in memory of a loved one, a local club supporting a community project, or an organization looking to create a lasting giving vehicle, NCF provides the infrastructure to make it happen.
Funds at NCF take many forms. Some are established to support a specific cause or sector. Others are created in honour or memory of someone special. Some are tied to particular organizations or initiatives, while others contribute to the community more broadly. Whatever the purpose, every fund at NCF is united by a shared commitment to strengthening Norfolk County.
The MOM Fund was established after Matt’s sudden passing on October 7, 2017, to keep Matt’s memory alive by supporting charitable projects and causes close to Matt’s heart.
The Silver Lake Rowing Club Fund supports sport, recreation, and youth development in Norfolk
County, ensuring that the values the club embodied – discipline, teamwork, and community –
continue to benefit future generations.
Doug and Starr Demeyere were exceptional community builders and supporters. From sponsoring teams, helping individuals, donating to community charities or working on volunteer boards, the Demeyere’s could always be counted on to be front and centre with their support.
The McKiee Family Fund honours the legacy of Jay McKiee, an SCS graduate, successful businessman, and passionate philanthropist whose generosity continues to shape the lives of young people in Norfolk County long after his passing in 2018.
