The Norfolk Community Foundation provides grants to charitable organizations serving the residents of Norfolk County. We focus on organizations concerned with:
Education and public learning
Health initiatives
Arts and culture
Recreation
Social services
Grants are awarded for specific purposes and for a defined period of time. Multi-year grants require periodic performance reviews.
Preference is given to capital projects that:
Encourage efficient use of community resources
Address root causes rather than only symptoms of social problems
Are developed in consultation with other agencies, promoting coordination, cooperation, and the elimination of duplicated services
Promote volunteer participation and citizen involvement in the community
Bursaries and scholarships are awarded to educational institutions, not individuals, in accordance with endowment fund guidelines.
Pilot or demonstration projects must include:
A plan for evaluation
A realistic strategy for financial sustainability beyond the pilot stage
Operating expenses or capital deficits
Establishment or addition to endowment funds
Direct religious or political activities
If your organization serves the residents of Norfolk County and meets our grant guidelines, we’d love to hear from you. Our team is here to guide you through the application process and help ensure your project has the greatest impact.
